About the event
Grocery Outlet Bargain Market, the extreme-value grocery retailer, today launched its 13 th Annual Independence from Hunger® Food Drive, to combat food insecurity and support families in vulnerable and disadvantaged communities throughout America. From June 28 to July 31, 2023, Grand Terrace Grocery Outlet is teaming up with SNT, CIU and The Joy of Giving Food Bank, to collect food and cash donations in-store and online.
Families and children in vulnerable and disadvantaged communities throughout the US are at continued risk of experiencing food insecurity, lacking the basic nutrients necessary for the development of an active, healthy life. With the ongoing inflation, families continue to turn to food banks as 34 million people in the United States are currently food insecure.
